Welcome to the database Dom, Mortuarium und Kreuzgang

The cathedral of Eichstätt looks back on a rich history. Since its foundation in the middle of the 8th century, successive superstructures, changes and extensions have been made. Building elements from the Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque eras to the present day make this history vividly visible. Among them are also numerous epitaphs and altars from the Renaissance.
The Mortuarium attached to the cathedral is one of the most important Late Gothic architectures in southern Germany.

With this database the epitaphs and works of art of the Mortuarium, the cloister and the cathedral are concentrated in one database. The architectural structures are also included in data sets.
